ABSTRACT

This project was aimed at developing a packaged food waste prevention system that allows retail stores to mitigate the problem of loss due to expiration of food products, also with the ability to provide goods nearing their end of shelf life at an auction price to interested buyers. The system is geared at solving the problem of waste of food products. It is a web based system designed with the Object-Oriented Hypermedia Design Methodology to solve the above stated problem. The result of the system is that retail stores can make well informed decisions using information gotten from the system.
