ABSTRACT

This work mainly concentrates on implementing an advanced and functional e-learning system in our society. Therefore, it looks at the design and implementation of an e-learning system that will enable easier learning and access to learning materials by Students; eliminating the traditional method of a classroom setting. In the course of the project, the Object Oriented Hypermedia Design Methodology was adopted and utilized as it is a web-based application. The high level model of the proposed system was designed showing the modules and components of the system. Hypertext Pre-Processor (PHP) an Object-Oriented Programming language was used in the development of the new system because of its portability. A relational database was created using MySQL for storing and retrieval of information.
